TYPE your work and hand it in during class. Depending on the length, depth, insight and creativity of your work, you may earn up to 20 points extra credit. Celestial Eyes

Read the essay on the Great Gatsby's book jacket. For each of the 10 proposed book covers and matching titles, write an analysis of the symbolism in the artwork as well as your personal reaction/interpretation to the alternate title/artwork based on what we've read/discussed about Gatsby.

Browse the very extensive and cool New York Times series on social class. Be sure to explore all the links, surveys, and opinions on the homepage. According to what you discovered from the series and what you've read in Gatsby, how attainable is the American Dream today?
