Hey lovelies!!!! You lucked out - I got into the radiation study so I'll see everyone next week! I expect everyone to check out the links provided for the Bluest Eye. Be nice to Mrs. Simons...I buttered you up like you were all very impressive............I hope you're enjoying the book!
There are LOTS of you who still need to respond to HOD blogs...grrrrr.

That Dick and Jane stuff is crazy. ive never seen those before so it was interesting to look at them after looking at the introduction to our novel.
I thought that the blues aesthetics article was really interesting. I would never have thought about Morrison's writing style in The Bluest Eye to be related to blues, but it makes sense. Also, I think it's interesting that the title of the book is The Bluest Eye when the music style it emulates most is Blues.
